UWCV YOUNG LEADERS SOCIETY 

 

 

Brittany McGeoch, Connie Owuor, and Darrell Wargo and had the privilege and honor of accepting the award for Outstanding Young Philanthropist on behalf of the Young Leaders Society of United Way of Central Virginia. YLS was honored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Piedmont Chapter for our SOS Backpack program.

 

This program is only successful because of the volunteers and donors who put in countless hours to run the program throughout the school year. So to those who allow us into your schools to serve your students, Thank You! To the Parent Volunteers who pickup and drop off backpacks, Thank You! To those who pack the backpacks each week, Thank You! To those who shop for the food to pack, Thank You! To those who have generously donated and continue to donate to the program, Thank You! This award is for each of you.
